Ask HN: Mobile phone form factor, Linux, with GPS, no phone capability?

So, I have a mobile (e/OS), but I don’t keep a SIM, no phone number (I use wifi). It’s useful in many ways, the killer app for me being GPS with on-device map.

I’ve never actually wanted a phone – I don’t use mobile – and with Google now fully controlling APKs, and the EU scaring me off by coming rather close to mandating device-side message scanning, I’m now looking seriously to get off Android.

What I want is a mobile device, ideally small screen – 4.7 inch or so – no keyboard, runs Linux (ideally Mobian but I’ll take what I can get), and critically has viable GPS.

I’ve been Googling, but no luck so far.

Can anyone tell me of such devices?
